There's A Blessing With Your Name On It

Numbers 13:30 - "And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it."

How you see yourself is how you will experience life!  Winners win long before they get in the competition.  In my first year of college, they named a tennis tournament in honor of my father, Joseph Fortunato Sr.  Being that my name was Joseph Fortunato Jr., I knew that that tournament had my name on it and I began preparing to win, one full year in advance.

In Numbers 13, the twelve spies were sent out to spy the land.  When they were faced with giants, ten saw themselves as losers and two, Joshua and Caleb, saw themselves as winners.  In verse 33, we see the reason for defeat, they said, "we were in our own sight as grasshoppers".

How do you see yourself?  Do you see yourself winning or losing?  Do you see the victory in advance?  Then it goes on to say, "and so we were in their sight".  The way you think about yourself is what others will think about you.

I saw myself winning the tournament that had my name on it.  Every ball I hit, every wind sprint I ran, I saw myself with that trophy in my hand.  When I won that tournament, I knew I had won it a year in advance.

There are four keys to possessing your blessing in verse 30 -  1) Let us go up at once - faith is now!  2) Possess it - take it, it's yours!  3) I am well able - God's ability in you gives you the victory!  4) I can overcome any obstacle, any problem - you are an overcomer!

Remember, there's a blessing with your name on it!
